About St Mary's College
JECS campus has a history of dreams, dreams of visionaries that came true. In 1978 the Diocesan Council of the Malabar Diocese of the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Christian Church, in one of its meetings formaly constituted THE JACOBITE SYRIAN CHRISTIAN CHARITABLE SOCIETY OF MALABAR DIOCESE; and it was this Trust that, in April 1979, bought a small plot of land including the old building in it for the Aramana (site of the present Snehabhavan complex). The sale-deed was registered in the name of the then Diocesan Bishop His Grace Samuel Mar Philexinos along with all the members of the Diocesan Council as the Trustees of the property.
